Kiran Nair
Student Fellow,
Fresno State Transportation Institute
Kiran Nair is an international student from India, currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Fresno State. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Kerala Technical University, Kerala, India. Kiran serves as a Graduate Research Fellow at the Fresno State Transportation Institute (FSTI), where his research focuses on optimizing transportation network overheads using advanced unsupervised learning techniques such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Transformer networks, and other AI-driven models. He is also exploring interdisciplinary applications of Generative AI in transportation, with an emphasis on predictive analytics and intelligent traffic management.

Before joining FSTI, Kiran worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) Lab at Fresno State, where he contributed to the development of non-invasive BCI devices, EEG data preprocessing, and the implementation of machine learning models for neural signal analysis. His expertise bridges AI, neuroscience, and intelligent transportation systems.
